Poly Transportation Problems?

Hi:

This will be our firts stay onsite, and we picked the Poly because of the convenient transportation to MK. However, a recent vistor posted at WDWIG (see here) regarding serious delays in Dec., and apparently not due to Christmas crowding. Anyone have any insight or differing info to help us decide whether we made the right call?

I wouldn't change my plans because of one report of a bad transportation experience during the busiest and most crowded time of the year. If you go to WDW then, you should expect crowds and waiting. We have stayed there the last two years and never waited more than 10 minutes for a bus or for the monorail. We choose the Poly because it has some of the best options for transportation with the boat and monorail launches to MK and the monorail to Epcot. You don't say when you are going but I am sure you will enjoy your stay.

I spent the week of 12/25/02 - 1/1/03 at the Polynesian and didn't find the same problems that the poster described in the link. We made EE three times during that week with no problems (the other days we didn't go to parks with EE).

For the most part, we waited less than 10 minutes for a bus or monorail and usually it was only 5 minutes or less. I waited once for a bus for 25 minutes and was told that we had just missed the previous bus. All in all, I found the transportation a pleasure to use.
