Poly to Epcot?

I noticed that the Transportation Wizard on Laughing place said that it takes 45 minutes to get from Poly to Epcot by monorail....this doesn't seem right. Can someone explain this better --- or confirm?...should we go to TTC and THEN monorail to Epcot I'm wondering?

It also said that you can go from Poly to Epcot by boat in 19 minutes...this sounds realistic...but will we be able to ride a boat for AM EMH?? Do they start running that early?

ALSO - Transportation Wiz says 13 minutes to WALK to TTC from Poly -- I thought it was closer than this...

The 45 minutes is probably riding the resort monorail from the Poly to the TTC, then catching the Epcot monorail. It would be quicker walking to the TTC and get the monorail there. The 13 minutes walking is probably from the far end of the Poly, near the Luau. That is probably at a very slow pace.

There is no boat from the Poly to Epcot. The only boat from the Poly is to Magic Kingdom.

I would do what DebbieB says. Walking from Poly to TTC and catch the Epcot Monorail will be faster.

As noted, 45 minutes probably is a reasonable estimate if you take the ill-advised approach of riding the resort monorail from the Poly to the TTC, then switch to the Epcot monorail. I guess it's also possible that it could take you 45 minutes if you started walking from the Poly at the farthest point from the TTC, walked slowly and had the Epcot monorail pull out just as you reached the platform. As a result, it's not unreasonable to use 45 minutes as a travel time basis for planning purposes, but the actual travel time will be less in most cases.
