How is the Tahiti for concierge services? We have only done concierge once at the Poly and it was in Hawaii.

Is there a large lounge? What floor is the lounge on? Is there an elevator?

We loved the location of Hawaii - so close to the pool and the GCH.

Sounds like Tahiti is close to the TTC which is good for going to Epcot. Can you walk out of your 1st floor room to the beach?

Thanks for any and all info!

5 days and counting....this was a last minute decision - made the ressie today!!!!! so FAR behind on planning!

Hi.. have fun on your holiday!

I didn't think Hawaii closed for rennovations until the spring? Is it closed already? Well I guess you are going to find out!

Hawaii isn't scheduled to close until June 1 (give or take a few days on either side) according to Polynesian Resort Planning. You shouldn't notice any changes during your stay in a few days. Have a great trip! :D

We stayed at the Tahiti two years ago when it wasn't substituting for Hawaii concierge. We had a fabulous ground floor lagoon view room with unobstructed views of the castle and space mountain. Our daughter loved walking right out the patio door, across the grass to the white , sandy beach. It was grand. It was fun listening to the ferry boats at the TTC cross the bay and, of course, it's hard to beat watching the fireworks from a swing in front of your room. We were hoping for a room in Tahiti again this year, but we really don't see the value in concierge for us. We have several breakfast reservations already made, so the continental offerings are no enticement and the dinner offerings just don't sound as much fun as trying some of the many great Disney restaurants. Maybe we'll try for a lagoon view at Tuvalu or just switch to garden view. You'll love Tahiti. The rooms are large. I can't speak to your inquiry about the lounge, however. There was a sitting area at the entrance to the building, but I don't know where the concierge lounge will be stationed.

lucysdad.........isn't that a great location??? It's great being on the ground floor - I love the sounds from the park too. When we stay at the Poly, we do not do concierge due to the fact that the breakfast is so good at the Poly. Gotta love the Kona coffee in the presspots!
