Hi-
I am looking for some help on the Poly. I wanted to know if anyone knows if a Princess suite or LVC has a better view. Which is better for a family of four? I love Tikiman's site. I just can't figure out which one is the better choice. If someone knows and can tell me a little bit about the differences, I would appreciate it. Thanks!!

I'm sure Tikiman will be along soon to give you the definitive answer, but just going by what I've learned while doing Polynesian resort lagoon view research, I know that the view from the Tonga building, which is where the Princess suite is, is set much further back, close to the GCH, and you'd be looking down through the Polynesian's marina, then out to the lagoon.

In the Hawaii building, there is nothing, except maybe a few palm trees, between you and the view :)

We're also a family of 4, and we like the fact that the Polynesian has 2 queen beds plus the daybed which is the size of a single bed, so DSs don't have to share a bed. We've been inside the Polynesian rooms and they're bigger than the room we had at the Grand Floridian.

Thanks for your reply. We have stayed at the Poly several times. We just have stayed in a regular room. We want to upgrade for our 10th anniversary, and I wanted to make sure it was worth the difference in cost. I appreciate your help. Thanks! :earboy2:

Doede95,

The Princess Suite one bedroom is not a bad price for the space you get and the view is not bad at all but if you were to compare just the views the lagoon view room in Hawaii would win in my opinion. If you want to compare everything that the Princess Suite wins other than price. When you stay in Tonga Longhouse you have access to the lounge over in Hawaii but you also have some offerings in a small area on the upper floor of Tonga and you have your own concierge desk. They give extra attention to guests in Tonga also. The balcony at the Suite is much larger and I am told that they have speakers on the balconies to play the music from the fireworks. The service is a little more upscale in Tonga and the suites are just getting ready to open back up from a complete rehab of all the rooms. I would do the Princess Suite over two lagoon view rooms because it would be cheaper and for the added service. The one bedroom suite will sleep 6 and the 2 bedroom will sleep 10.
