Can anybody post some photos of the views the had from there studio rooms at Poly and what building they stayed at...

I'd love to see a photo too. I'd also like to know how people feel about the different floors. I like being ground floor because the view is open. I have never stayed on 2nd or 3rd floor. I'm interested in knowing weather your view is or isn't obstructed by wooden railing when sitting on balcony.

Isn't only one building open for DVC reservations?

There have been reports that the water view rooms have a view of the bungalows from the lower floors and the view from the 3rd floor is above the bungalows.

Only Moorea and 10 bungalows are declared. However, they can assign a booked studio to any longhouse meeting the view category

A lake view studio is only in Moorea. A standard view studio can be in Moorea, Pago Pago, or Tokelau.

The railing does block the view when sitting. If we slouched, we could see under the railing. Despite this, it did not detract our enjoyment of the balcony. It felt a little more secluded because of the railing.

If you are looking for Lake view, any 2nd/3rd floor view is going to have partial lake/theme park view. Only two room are obstructed -- 2030/3030. See my spreadsheet of links to photos/descriptions for lake views.

all 3 building are open now - the lake views can be noisy and the first floor views are blocked by the bungalows - so would go for a third floor view - Polyn does have elevators - but the stairs are much more convenient. the elevator is in the middle - while the stairs are on either end.

that say my favorite of the dvc resorts is BLT - LOVE, LOVE walking to the MK (the monorail back is okay - but there are no hills walking to and from BLT - so that is definitely the easier route for me)

The buildings may be open but it's my understanding that only one has been declared into the association and only the declared units can be used for DVC reservations.

I do not believe that to be correct - only the number of units declared into inventory can be used. They can be in any building.

GoofyDisneyDaddy is correct. Declared has nothing to do with which rooms they assign DVC members using points.

DVC members using points have been assigned rooms in Moorea, Pago Pago, and Tokelau.

Good to know, I thought that they declared by unit number since the sell by unit number.

They do declare by unit number. The only part of declaration that seems to matter is the percentage of units declared. wdrl has described it a few times. His wording is far better than anything I could come up with.

I used to think they only used declared units for booking, but our first stay at BLT was in a room that was not part of any declared units.
