Checking into Poly standard studio next week. If I want to be away from the boat horns, would Tokelau be a good request? Also, what is the best way to make a specific building request? Phone call or fax?
Thanks!!

We have stayed twice at Poly, both times in Tokelau and we were VERY HAPPY! :woohoo:Before our first trip, I was very concerned about the boat horns, light sleeper. Originally, interested in Morrea because of the laundry situation, but was too anxious about the boat horns, so I requested Tokelau both trips and received request. We will definitely request Tokelau again! I usually request by phoning Member Services, then about a week before trip, call MS to ensure the request is on the reservation. One trip, when we arrived at AKV Jambo, there were no requests on the reservation, MS apparently never added them. Learned my lesson that trip to make a call to MS to confirm. ENJOY the Poly; We loved the new Oasis pool addition!:beach:

Thank you jersey gal (I'm a jersey gal myself!)....I called MS this afternoon, had them note my Tokelau request, and I will call back a few days before I arrive to confirm the request is there! Glad to hear you love Tokelau, hoping to be able to see it for myself! :)

My request has been Tokelau upper floor... prefer balcony to patio... and I've gotten it every time. Last month I got a studio at the end of the building near the lagoon and not only had a lovely view of the fireworks but could hear the audio piped onto the beach

The patio/balcony is my favorite thing. I always add that to my request!

Love Tokelau also and really enjoy the "quieter" Oasis Pool. :beach:Don't like first floors anywhere; much prefer upper floors at any resort!

Staying at a Polynesian villa in November of this year. You should call DVC member services to make sure your room request is entered ?

Yes, assuming you are a member. I usually use the "Contact Us" link from the members' website, though. It's easier than waiting on hold and they send me back a response - I tend to forget what I've asked for, LOL.

If you are a renter, you'll need to ask the owner to call or email MS to add any requests.

Have fun - the Poly is a beautiful resort.

If you are an owner, I typically check by calling MS a couple days before as well to ensure that the requests are on the reservation. ENJOY the beautiful Poly!:goodvibes

Great to know. Thank you all for the help. I am a DVC member but this will be my first time at the Polynesian. I am using Touring Plan's fax service for my request of Tokelau 3rd floor, but I know it can't hurt to put in the same request myself through member services.

I will be staying at the Poly in November!! It's our first week long stay at our home resort and we are so excited!! We stayed one night in March post DCL cruise and didn't put in a room request except upper floor. We lucked out and had a room in Pago Pago but facing the garden. It was a great location.
I was thinking I would just chance it again but since I do sit out on the balcony a lot I am not sure I want to spend a week looking at the parking lot. I think you all have convinced me to put in a request for Tokelau.
