I’ve stayed at both but looks like wilderness lodge is a lot cheaper
Any suggestions of which one is nicer?
thanks

Nicer is so subjective. To me, WL is much calmer, less hustle & bustle, less wear and tear. But the rooms at WL need updating, no two days about it. Copper Creek Villas however are wonderful and I’d put them over the Poly villas, but that’s just my opinion. We love visiting Poly but staying at WL.

Absolutely the Poly...larger rooms, brighter and easier to get around.

Which WL villa? Boulder Ridge or Copper Creek? BRV is older, CCV is much newer. CCV has some studios with just stand alone showers. BRV has the standard tub with shower in it. Polynesian has a separated bathroom with a shower and sink in one space, tub/shower, toilet and sink in the other. BRV and Polynesian both have a queen bed, sleeper sofa (queen in Polynesian, double in BRV) and a bunk sized murphy bed. CCV is a hard four, no murphy bed. CCV and Polynesian are converted hotel rooms. BRV had it's start as a villa.

I'm surprised about all the DVC questions on the Resorts board instead of on the DVC Resorts board.

The studios at Copper Creek are my favorite of all DVC studios at WDW in terms of decor. Almost all are on the 1st floor, so views not the best, but all have a patio which is nice. I personally didn't like the Poly villas because I thought the 2nd bathroom and kitchenette took up too much room...since I'm going either solo or with one other person, really don't need the extra bathroom.....although the extra bathroom is nicer than the original bathroom.🙂

Studios are all over the wing on all floors, not just the first.

That is true, but almost all of the "dedicated" studios are on the first floor with studios on the other floors part of 2-bedroom lockouts....so the likelihood of your studio being on the 1st floor is, I would just say, greater?

the walk-in shower studios at copper creek are NOT on the first floor so if you book that you can be on floors 2-7. the shower/tub studios are on the 1st floor except a few.

with the current situation, I would think that the only way to go to the Polynesian would be driving , right ?
or take the boat the MK and then another boat to Polynesian

Thats good to know. My first reservation for 2021 is CC, so I'll have to add shower only to my request in my attempt to not get 1st floor. Thanks much for that info.

I’ve heard from other posts that the CC galley kitchen (2 bedroom villa) is awkward and the kitchen at BRV has a better layout. We’re trying to decide if we should stay at BRV or CC. Any thoughts on the layout? Are the views any better at one than the other?

The CCV is part of the walkway into the villa. The BRV kitchen is a separate space.

I'm struggling with this same question and I don't think its a hands down Poly choice
If both pools are opened at Wilderness and its a little quieter there that's what Id choose
I've heard many reports that the poly is very busy in the evening and the pools are packed

I believe you have to make a specific reservation for a Copper Creek Studio with walk-in shower. It's a separate booking category.

@Granny posted a map of the CCV villas a few years ago. I don’t think much has changed.

Dotted lines indicate lock-offs. Even numbers face the Boulder Ridge pool.
