Hi! We are headed to the Poly this summer but I'm stuck on room choices. We have a 2 year old (who is an early riser) and 5 year old. I was thing I would ask for a crib for the 2 year old. Does anyone have opinions on whether a regular room or studio would be preferable? I read that the sofa and day bed in teh studios may not be that comfortable. Thanks!

Cribs are generally not given out in DVC rooms- though they are sometimes available at combined resorts- ou will havea pack and play available in the studio.

I would go with a regular room with a day bed and bed rail request for the 2 year old. I'm not too familiar with a studio but think the standard room with daybed would fit you all perfectly.

I definitely think the regular room would be more comfortable for your family. The only "cribs" generally available are pack n plays which I bet your 2 year old is too big for. You definitely can request bed rails for the day bed or 2nd queen bed, or you could rent a full size crib to be delivered to the Poly. Several companies rent them and one I have seen recommend is A Baby's Best Friend - www.abbf.com
Good Luck

My son thinks the day bed is quite comfortable and he is 12. Not knowing your 5 year old but assuming he is less than 5'4" and 105 lbs he should be OK! I'm going to go against the grain here and say I think you will have more room in a studio. You will have the couch instead of a bed and then you'll have plenty of room to put the crib right by the couch. I have heard of folks putting a crib in the split bath (the one without the toilet) but that might have been a pack & play. The kitchenette area is handy for snacks as well. When my kids were little I needed food in the room all the time because they were always too amped up to eat at meal time. Once we got back to the room for naps or night time they were so hungry!
Just my thoughts - as you can see others feel differently!
