Poly special event

I'm taking mom & dad down for their first trip in May. It will be around their 40th wedding anniversary. Should/how do I communicate that to the hotel? We are staying at the Poly from May 25th to June 2nd, (I can't wait!!! ). Anyone else done something like this? If so, what was your experience?
