Hi,

We are supposed to be staying at the Poly for the first time in Feb for the Princess half. We usually stay at the GF as I am slightly addicted to the GF, LOL and I'm a little hesitant about staying somewhere else but the Poly is a host hotel.

I am wondering how the slide at the Poly is? From pictures I have looked at it looks like it is fully enclosed, is this true? My daughter loves the GF slide but isn't really into fast slides. Anybody with any input on the slide and how the speed compares to the one at the GF would be great! Also does the Poly have mickey waffles? I have seen two different menus and one has them listed and one doesn't.

Thanks so much for your help, I really appreciate it!!

Poly slide is great. But it is enclosed at least part way. We stayed in 2010 I think, and I'm trying to remember
The only slide at a resort I didn't like was BC. The seams really stung my back going down! If they found a way to smooth them out, it would be a great slide!

We stayed at the Poly this past August. LOVED the slide! My kiddos (6 and 10) loved it too. My dd6 was a little hesitant at first because it's enclosed, but after deciding "to be brave," she couldn't get enough of it! It IS a little fast and dark until it curves and you can see the "light at the end of the tunnel." So if your dd is more timid, it might scare her - at least the 1st trip down.

Have fun! :goodvibes

The Poly slide is partially enclosed and because it is darker seems to go faster. It is scarier than the GF slide the first time, but after that it's great. I like the slide at GF better though for some reason.

The Poly pool/slide is our favorite of all the resorts we've stayed at. I wasn't all that impressed with the GF beach pool or slide. I thought the Poly slide was a little faster than the GF slide.

My kids hated the gf slide because its too slow, but they love the poly slide. The best slide in my families opinion is the Boardwalk slide. If your daughter likes the Gf slide stay there. When she gets older she will probably want to stay at resort with a better slide and pool like the BW or BC. I would take advantage of staying at the GF while you can.

Great to hear that! I can't wait to try the BWI slide in October! It looks so Fun and is actually one of the big selling points to me for choosing to stay there, I love the whole quaint old-world Atlantic seaside carnival theme, the kiester coaster slide looks like a blast! :yay:
