Do the Poly rooms still have chains or security bars you can put on even in the room? what if you are napping and they come to inspect room?

I respectfullly think that you may be overthinking the possibility of inspections. We use the security bar thing when we are sleeping and if we rememebr it if we nap, but that is because I seldom hear Housekeeping knock.

I believe that teh whole inspection thing is to be open that if one requests "no housekeeping" there is the possibility that if security sees something to concern them, they can enter. I really do not see any CM just charging in whiothout a courtesy knock.

The intention is that if you decline housekeeping, someone WILL come in, once per day. They are supposed to knock first, but don’t always give people in the room time to respond to the knock.

Oh I understood what the intention is, and I know that knowing that, I would use the door chain bar thing. I just think that there is a lot of worry over this that is not necessary, and that is coming from someone who just returned from a stay in Aruba that included a housekeeper who not only entered to clean, but stayed to complete the job when DH and I were resting. I had been dozing under teh covers, btu DH was watching TV in his shorts. I thought she left but no...I guess there was a aschedule she needed to keep and I looked up to see her cleaning teh monster jacuzzi in the bathroom suite. YIKES! Poor DH was frozen on the bed! LOL! WE got the heck out of DOdge in record time!

Your post had said a possibility security may enter so I wanted to correct that. They will enter, daily, not might enter.

There are lots of concerns on that thread. Some outlandish, some not.

All the rooms at WDW (not just the Poly) have security chains/bars on them.
