Poly room requests

So when I made my reservations for the Poly about a month ago I never requested a room. Then I called and requested Rarotonga (cauz I believe it was renovated within the past year and a half and because it's non-smoking), and Tokelau (again, non-smoking and it just seemed like a good spot.). So, then I found out that one side of Rarotonga has parking lot views so I just changed it to Tokelau only. Never once did I mention my reasonings for picking these two hotels, but the more I think about it, I really just want a new freshly renovated building with no smoking. Dare I call them again and explain this, and what are the chances I'll get such a building? I'm not being too specific so I hope it wouldn't be a problem. What do you think? Will faxing my request before I get there help?

Tokelau if I were you because you'll have zero chance of a parking lot view. So, you're good to go because that's what you've requested. We love the Poly and we typically fax in a room request 3 days prior to leaving. We have ALWAYS gotten our request. However, ALWAYS=two times because we've only been twice. Perhaps we got lucky. But I don't think so. The CMs at the Poly go out of their way to make you happy. This is one of the reasons it's our favorite resort.

Tokelau rooms are fresh and clean - and quite large. It's centrally located to pretty much everything and you can get a side view of the castle. We love it - it's our favorite location.

Have fun!
