Poly room request - need opinions.

We have an upcoming 3 night stay at poly -- my situation is we that will have 2 studios - one for the grandparents and one of our kids and the other for myself, DH and 2 kids. I put in the request for "traveling with" and that is it so far. Having never stayed there I am not familiar with what additional room requests i should make.

Our main goal would to avoid a parking lot view. We don't need to have the rooms adjoining but it would be helpful to be close on the same floor.

With that said--
- Would you go a step further to request a particular building to hopefully avoid the parking lot view
- Leave it as just "traveling with" as this would give best odds to be close together
- Is there a certain request to put on to just avoid the parking lot view? Can i just tell them no parking lot view so that they have more to work with?

Let me know your thoughts and what or if any additional notations should i make on our reservations.

To make this kind of request you'll need to call Member Services and tell them something to add to the reservation. From what I understand Pago Pago is the only DVC longhouse with parking lot views so you could request the other two (Moorea and Tokelau). Only half of Moorea is standard (assuming you booked standard and not lake view), so the odds might be better with Tokelau.

I'd keep it as general as possible, but if you'd like an upper floor or something you can add that...it's just that the more requests you make, the narrower the choice of rooms is.

I to have reservations at the Polynesian pre cruise and wanted to know where to request multiple studios we have reserved. Thanks, MakiraMarlena for responding.

We were in Pagu Pagu for our last poly stay and we didn’t have a parking lot view, we actually overlooked trees so we had some privacy. It was a great location and we were especially excited about it once we found that we were right next door to the TTC. I think it was a 2-3 minute walk, max. Makes it super convenient for access to EPCOT or MK. We’d definitely stay in that building again.

That being said, if your biggest want is to stay close to the rest of the family I’d make that the biggest request or note on the reservation.
