need help with two things:

1. do I need to make ressie for Kona Cafe breakfast, if we were to go around 8-830am in late Oct? we will be at WDW for a 4 night adventure prior to a cruise, the last morning there we are eating at Ohana, but one other morning I wanted a nice breakfast (more than a quickie) I might be too late to make a ressie though

2. one day we have a lunch at Hollywood & Vine and I figure we can head back to hotel for supper. Don't plan on staying for fantasmic right now. I really didn't see any decent counter service places at MGM. Did I miss something? so if we head back to Poly I figure we wouldn't need a big dinner. Now I am not sure where to go: Tambu lounge, Captain Cooks snack co or Kona cafe (if can get ressie.) This is for DH, DS (5ish) and myself...
thanks !!

'Ohana is great, you won't go away from there hungry. I'd probably advise getting an ADR for Kona, it seems now that it's almost impossible to dine anywhere without advanced reservations, which IMO is ridiculous. Not familiar with Yambu Lounge but I know it sits right next to 'Ohana and I think it has super limited seating, a lot of the people waiting for 'Ohana just plop down there. Capt. Cooks is pretty much short order stuff, burgers, sandwiches from the case, premade salads and deserts if it's like the other CS resort places. For something a little more substantial I'd recommend Kona, although we have never dined there.

Oct. seem to be busy. So stay on the safe side and book it. Once you get there you might not get it.

I would book Kona for dinner. It is excellent.

As for a reservation for breakfast at Kona, I would make one even if it is just the day before you wish to dine. Sometimes you can walk right in but other days there is a wait. Just easier to book IMO.

Have fun!

I just tried to book Kona Cafe for dinner in late sept.( only adr I hadn't made yet) and no luck for a thursday at any time. Never have had that happen before. I'd book Kona if you can get it.

We always do Kona for breakfast each trip--usually around 8:30-9:00. We've never made ADR's. Most times we walk right in. Once in awhile a few minutes wait, but that's it.
Should add that there are only the 2 of us--.

Just call and see if you can get an ADR for the time that you would prefer. If that isn't available you should have no problem getting one for 7:30am or walking up when they open at 7:30am.

We have ADR's for two breakfasts and a dinner at Kona during our late October/early November stay. If you want to eat there, make an ADR. Maggie

Captain Cook's Snack Co, are there tables fr people to eat after ordering? We will be picking up our Wishes cruise from here and will want to catch something quick. Thanks.

This was a thread from five years ago but unless things have changed yes Captain Coos has seating.
