I just did my 60 day in advance on-line check in at the Villas.
The only options were "upper floor," "lower floor," and "near elevator." I chose upper near elevator.
However--NO choice of building! I wanted to request Moorea, as reading DIS it seemed to give the best chance of a good view.
Should I call Member Services and request Moorea?

Did you book a lake or standard view? With a lake view, you'll be in Moorea. And, if you have a lake view room reserved, I'd only request "upper floor." I wouldn't want the "near elevator" request to impact the "upper floor" request. In my opinion, that's the only one that matters.

The online check-in requests is for the entire resort, not just DVC. I don't think it'd be practical to list all buildings for requests.

Thank you. I have a standard room. As per post above, I was afraid that the elevator request might override the more important upper floor.

Have them list first what's more important to you---upper floor or location so the room assigner knows the order.

The owner needs to add your request to your reservation.

IMHO floor doesn't really matter for the standard view rooms but I would definitely request Moorea.

I'm curious why you would recommend that. Moorea seems to be the least convienent location. I guess it's in the middle? I'd request a building closer to the TTC or closer to the main house, depending on my itinerary.

I think when tokalue sp? Pool is finished that will be the best building

A request for Moorea means no parking lot view. I guess in the future one could request "not Pago Pago" . I actually like the Moorea location a lot. It's right next to the TTC and a nice walk down the beach to the pool, GCH, etc. That route seemed shorter and definitely more scenic than going through the resort (especially with the construction). Also, if you have a car, that is close by as well.
