check this link out, it will give you pics of the new rooms. We stayed in one in December. We have not stayed in any rooms previously so we have nothing to compare it to, but I found that it had a good amount of drawer and closet space and the big tv was nice too.
We just returned from a remodeled room. They are great! A little more "earthy" and less "beachy"--does that make sense? More warm tones in brown, beige. We did think the drawer space increased, and we loved the new closets. The bathrooms haven't changed much. The tile and sink counter are the same. There are new wall hangings, wallpaper, mirror, shower head, and shower curtain. We really loved the new hide-a-bed/sofa/daybed thing. Very easy to make and fold up in the morning.
The room is a little darker; especially, for me, the bathroom. BUT, it wasn't really bad at all.
I am not sure about this but I think by the end of October (or a bit sooner) all of the rooms will have been refurbished. They are doing one longhouse at a time. If you are going before that you could possibly request a refurbished room.
Anyone visiting in late July or later will not have to worry about getting a new room since the only rooms open will be new and the rest will be closed for rehab.
