Hi everyone,

Sorry if this has been posted before...we are doing a split stay AKL for one night and Poly for 7 nights...can we have bell services transfer our bags from AKL to Poly? Do we just ask them as we leave or do we need to arrange ahead of time?

Does the Poly have an RAC for Southwest? Anyone used it latly? We have paid for EBC but would be helpful if they could print boarding passes and take care of our luggage...

Arriving 6:30pm on a Sunday night...with DME am I right in budgeting (worst case scenario) to be at AKL by 8:30 pm? Or should I budget longer..I hear the lines for DME at MCO are crazy Saturday's and Sunday's....?

Thanks for helping me with my six million questions!!

Yes, Bell Services will transfer your luggage. Check with them when you check in to see how much notice they need, i.e. do you need to set it up then or can you call them in the morning.

Yes. The only resorts currently not able to handle RAC for Southwest passengers are CBR and OKW - and that's due to luggage space. Both resorts are working on creating more space. Can't answer your next question; I mean I can - people certainly have used RAC from the Polynesian. I'm just not one of them. I would think it works exactly as well as it does at all other resorts. My understanding is, yes, RAC does print the Southwest boarding passes - even for non-EBCI passengers.

Average time from stepping off the plane into the terminal, to stepping off the DME bus at your resort, is 70 to 90 minutes. If your plane lands on time and you don't delay yourself at the airport (waiting for people, waiting for luggage, eating, etc.), 8:30 is reasonable.

Thanks.... !!

I'd love to hear anyone else's experience with arriving and taking DME on a Sunday night

I don't think you're going to run into all that big of a crowd at that time on a Sunday. If you arrive, ontime, at 6:30, you should be at your resort by 8, 8:30 at the latest. The average time, from gate to resort, has been running about 70 mins. In all my rides with DME (several times a year since it started up), I have had only one time that it was close to 90 mins....the other trips were much shorter.
