The site says there is still construction. How much does it affect the stay? Is the new tower better or worse with that respect?

And more generally, with 6yo and 8yo, how would you compare studio in the new tower vs in the older buildings?
Thanks!

Yes there is general work around the Poly grounds and buildings. The Tower is done. There is also work in the parking area around changes to the traffic flow / Bus loop, and the new resort entrance.

The Island Tower Studios are a little smaller than the Deluxe Studios in the original longhouses. The Studios in the longhouses have an extra shower / sink room which makes getting ready much easier. They also sleep up to 5 vs the Island Tower units.

Thanks! How disruptive are the works? Especially noise and dust.

How about the location of the new tower vs longhouses in terms of getting to monorail, close to hotel amenities and viewpoints, walking to other hotels etc.

The road construction is annoying to deal with when you are driving, but I didn’t hear any of it at the hotel itself. I stayed in the tower and the walk to the main building wasn’t long at all.

I second the comments from @FSU Girl about once you are past the entrance an on the resort side is great. The Standard views from the Island tower over look all the road work on Floridan Way as work continues toward the GF.

The distances to the CGH and the Monorail on the second floor of the GCH are about equal to us. The Island tower opens on the path to the GF and on to M, it is closest. It has it's own Splash pad area and it's own quite pool.

The Deluxe Studios in the longhouses are around the Oasis pool and a short walk to the TTC for the Epcot Monorail. Since they are only 3 stories tall they have a mostly resort view with almost no view of the parking work or roadway construction work.

I stayed at Poly last week. I did not notice any dust or disruption. I didn't even know there was work going on
