Poly questions for non-guests

My DH and I are taking our 2 kids to the Lilo & Stitch character breakfast at the Poly in a few weeks.

My first question is about transportation. We are staying at All-Star Movies. Should we take a bus to the TTC, then take a bus to the Poly? Or, take the bus to the MK? Is this TTC at the MK, or are they different? How long should we allow for travel?

My second question is that after breakfast, can we look around a little? I think the kids (and me too) might like to sit on the sand and watch the scenery, and maybe enjoy the landscaping. Is this okay? Will anyone question us?

Thanks!

First, you can sit and enjoy the resort as much as you like. (You just can't use the pool. )

Second, there are several options to get to Poly.
First, you could take any bus to any park, get off that bus, and get onto the next Poly bus that come along.
Second, you could take the bus to MK and then get onto the resort monorail and get off at the Poly.
Lastly, you could take the bus to MK and then take the boat (I'm pretty sure they have a boat, someone correct me if I'm wrong) to Poly.

We are staying at WL. We love the boat transportation to and from MK.

Depending on how early your reservations are, you would have to look at the transportation available at those times. Transportation may not be available to some of the earliest morning reservations. In that case, I would drive or take a taxi.

There is a boat that goes from the Poly to MK, but it is not very big and takes about 15 minutes (we asked last time and chose to opt out...small boat, 11 month old, 15 minutes.. YIKES!) I'm unsure of the hours of operation. When you board the bus from your resort, depending on the driver and how early your reservations are he/she may take you directly to the Poly if you ask. If not, I would suggest being dropped off at MK and taking the monorail to the Poly. It will drop you off rigt on the floor Ohana's is located on.
DH and I LOVE Ohana's and the Poly and always spend some time looking around the resort. It is so beautiful! Have fun!

If you end up taking a bus to TTC you could even walk to Poly, or take the monorail 1 stop. You at least have options to see which bus comes along first, the one to MK or to TTC. I think I would leave an hour before ADR time to get to the restaurant

First, you can not get a bus from your resort to the TTC...they don't exist. So...take the bus to the MK. When you get there you have a few options.
You can take the monorail (resort line) to the Polynesian. Leave enough time to do this though...it can take 15-20 mins to get from MK to the Polynesian, not including the wait for the monorail to come.
You can take the express monorail to the TTC and walk to the Polynesian. There is a very nice sidewalk path that goes to the Polynesian from the TTC. The express line is faster than the resort line since it goes directly to the TTC..no other stops.
Or, you can take the small boat that runs between the MK, GF and the Polynesian. Again, leave enough time.
Overall, I would plan on it taking an hour, from resort to resort.
And yes, you can amble around the Polynesian to your hearts' content when done eating. It's a beautiful resort.

Exactly...one other option from the MK is the big ferry to the TTC. It crosses in 5 minutes. Then you just have the short walk to the Polynesian.

The small launches do not start operating until close to park opening so that may not be an option depending on the time of your breakfast.

And the resort monorail begins operating before the express so if you have an early breakfast, the resort monorail may be your only option.
