Poly Question

Never stayed at the Poly..had a question. I'm assumming restaurants, arcade, what not are located in the Great Ceremonial House. If you reserve a Garden View room...is it a really far walk to hit the restaurants/lobby? Are there generally specific buildings that you would get with reserving a Garden View?

Many garden view rooms are in buildings right next to the GCH! You can check a resort map to try and request a building that would work best for your family.

Just about every building has garden view rooms, so you could placed in any building. I also recommend that you a map of the Polynesian and see if there is a specific area or longhouse you want to be in. When you call CRO to make be sure to have them note it in your reservation. The requests are not guaranteed, but you probabably have a good chance of getting it.

The resort is not so huge that you will feel like you walked for days to get to the GCH. I think you will really enjoy your stay here.

Yes, with the exception of the club level buildings, all longhouses have gardenview rooms.

The DIS has a map. There is also a Resort FAQ at the top of the page with info on the Polynesian. And Tikiman has a wonderful site all about the resort. You can google to find that address.

The Poly really isn't that huge so whatever longhouse you're in really isn't that far from the Great Ceremonial House. If you really want to be closest to the GCH for convenience sake I would suggest Raratonga. We stayed there our first visit and it was very convenient. Also, we could sit on our patio every morning and have our coffee while watching the monorail go by. Very magical. Just love the Poly!
