Hi are there ANY nice shady spots around the pool at the Polynesian resort?

Not really. If you get an umbrella table it may help, but even the reserved cabanas aren't that shady due to sun angle.

..not really helpful having the same person answering when wanting different opinions but thanks anyway..

No, there's really no shade. You may get some briefly if you go early and get a chair with an umbrella, but as the day goes on, that minimal shade goes away. It's one of my biggest complaints about Poly.
