Poly Pool refurbishing

Not sure if this is old news, but saw it today while surfing:

The east pool is closed for refurbishment from 2/9/04 through 4/2/04.

Can someone confirm this? We are down to the wire and this would affect my faxed room request, Was thinking of Samoa for location but not if the quiet pool is down for refurb....DW insists absolutely Non-Smoking building.

Artemus, this is pretty much correct because I got the info from the Disney Cast Member private web site this morning. I came across it while checking hours for a friend today. This is the same site that CMs use when you go to the resort front desk and ask this very question. Maybe someone on the boards who was there after 2/9 can confirm this for you...anyone?

Thanks! We are really excited about staying at the Poly and would not change over this, but it is helpful info. Can anticipate a more crowded Volcano Pool...will choose our times. THis resort choice is a secret from our kids. They think we are going to Dad's favorite WL. Surprizes! I love 'em.

Just wanted to add that it might not drive up the number of people in the volcano pool too much--in our last two trips there, we only ever saw one or two people in the quiet pool at a time (well, besides us). Granted, this was during a slow time. As you can see by my countdown, I will be at the Poly in a few days--when I return I will try to remember to update you on what we see. Aloha!
