I love all of your photos Matthew! What kind of camera do you use?

The above photo (Wyland Gallery) was taken with a simple point-and-shoot; a Canon IXY 1000. Most of my photos are taken with a Canon DSLR; a Canon 1D. Also, nearly all of the photos will have been edited with Photoshop.

I missed this art, Matthew. How lovely; the musician in me would have loved to see it in person. Thanks for posting the picture.

GORGEOUS!!! May I ask what room # this was or what kind of room request you'd make if you wanted this view?

That was room #3503. Hawaii Building, Lagoon View, 3rd Floor. All the third floor rooms on that side of the Hawaii building would give a similar view. :goodvibes

guitarob--Loved the photos. It's good to see a picture posted that is not "zoomed" on the castle from LVC. Oftentimes I think we give a misrepresentation of the actual "castle" view when we post our zoomed in photos. While it is still a fantastic view, a bit of realism is good for the newbie who may be expecting that TV commercial depicted view!

BTW, what the hey was the giant ferry boat doing at the dock? I've never seen that before, but what a cool shot!

Great photos. . . :thumbsup2

Thank you very much for the compliments!

I really don't know what the ferry was doing at the Polynesian dock. It was about 7 in the morning, and it was all over the waters in that area between the Poly and the Grand Floridian. I was hoping someone would know, hehe. Maybe I'll post that very question in it's own thread :)

Zoomed in or not zoomed in, that view from the LVC is the greatest view in the world (to me anyway) there is nothing like seeing that first thing in the morning when the sun is just breaking over the horizon, or last thing at night, to sit on the balcony there and just watch the castle change color (I couldn't get a decent shot of that to save myself).
