Poly pics thread

This is our yearly spot for pictures! We call him "Big Nose."

I am staying in a garden view in a few weeks and am so confused! we have stayed at the poly many times before but only in tahiti in a MK view room. I originally asked for third floor somoa facing the volcano pool b/c i thought the view would be great but now I am second guessing b/c of the lights at night and the possible noise. We have a two year old who naps and is a light sleeper. I would like to request a room that has a nice beach view which looks to be either Fiji or Tokelau. I have read that some tokelau 3rd floor rooms have views of the water and fireworks. Is this true? Also, does 3rd floor somoa have views of the water? any help would be great!!!

For the Poly especially, I think higher is better if you are concerned with noise.

Thanks for these pictures from Fiji! When I've looked at the map it looks like the rooms are so far away from the pool but you are actually overlooking the pool if you're lucky! So it's not far then to walk over to the pool? How about to the GCH? We'll be going in the summer and I don't want to be walking any more than I have to if it's not in the parks :)

Fiji is what I would consider a short walk to the GHC and pool. There are closer rooms to the GHC but I think the Fiji views are great for the garden view price. You overlook the volcano from one side of Fiji, and the water you see is that of the marina. The pool itself is not super visible, but the volcano is right there!

You take the *best* pictures, J.C.&ALI'sMOM !! :woohoo:

(Thanks for all the wallpapers... ;-) )

you are very welcome ;) I just wish I had more, I'm coming up to the end of the Poly photos. As a matter of fact I might have posted this before, I can't remember anymore :rotfl:

Thanks! I'll be subscribing to this thread. I have NO REGRETS whatsoever in switching our resorts from the AKL to Poly. THE POLY JUST LOOKS SO TROPICAL, BRIGHT and WHAT OUR SUMMER VACATIONS ARE ALL ABOUT :) We can't wait!!!!!:yay: :dance3: :yay: :dance3: It will work out sooooooo much better for hubby's knee and for all of us to be able to be right on the monorail for easy access to MK where we will be spending most of our time anyhow. We are animal lovers but I think the savannah view would get kind of old after awhile but with the Poly, the garden views with the landscaping and such is just more of our style for our vacation mode. I am thrilled to try the POLY:woohoo: All your pics are FABULOUS:thumbsup2 Keep them coming!

Here's the view from our balcony (zoomed of course). We had Lagoon View Concierge, room 3517. What a view!

Early morning swim!

See, some people worry about running into alligators while at Disney, meanwhile I have to worry about ducks. That's right, ducks do not like me! I'm serious! Everytime we go to the zoo those darn things chase me. My DW gets a huge kick out of it. Here is this grown man running away from an army of ducks. All I know is that I'm wearing my shark suit if I see them in the pool. :rotfl2:

J.C.&ALI'SMOM, that pic with the monorail and Neverland club sign is fantastic. Great location and timing! :thumbsup2

When we were at the Poly last summer, we met up with the ducks the very first morning. AND every morning, my DH would go to Captain Cook's for his breakfast and he had his "duck friend" following him around all morning pecking his shoes. If I could figure out how to put the pic here I would, my DH and the duck stand off.

Never posted a picture before so forgive me if this goes wrong!!

This should be a towel animal we received on arrival in our room at the Poly. I hope it works as i have lots more!
