We have stayed at both and enjoy them both. We typically book a garden view at each - in the wing for CR and Tahiti for Poly. My mother describes the Poly as having the "aaahhhhh" factor - you just feel relaxed as soon as you catch your first sniff of the flowers. The CR has more "energy". Both are equally "Disney" to us. Our kids like both of the pools and slides. Transportation options are almost identical - at CR you have the option to walk to MK, and at Poly the option to walk to TTC for Epcot monorail. There are restaurants at both we enjoy. I'm with a PP who said to try it and see what you think. You can always switch back to the CR next time
