DH & I are debating where to stay for our adults only trip Sept 17-24, 2016. We are currently booked at the Poly (our home resort). We are pretty sure we are doing a POLY trip with the family and another family Aug 2017 so we are thinking we might change this year to Beach Club if available. Which would you do for an adults only trip?

Our Home Resorts are Poly and Boardwalk. If you are going to spend a lot of time at EPCOT/HS BC might be the way to go. If you are planning on spending a lot of time at the Resort I would go Poly for an adult only trip (monorail bar crawl). We have stayed at BC, while the resort is beautiful, to me the villa's being off to the side with no views gives us little reason to stay there. I am biased but if you are going to stay in EPCOT area I would lean towards BWV. Also BCV are going through refurb, not sure when they are done.

I actually was really hoping to stay at Boardwalk this time but it looks like there will only be partial availability. We are new owners so just getting the hang of how to do this stuff but the 17th of this month is our 7 month window. When I look at availability at Boardwalk today, it shows availability starting the 21 but not on the weekend. Maybe I could wait list it….

We own at both and love both.

BCV has Stormalong Bay which has one of the few deep water pool areas at WDW - 7 ft deep section.

If BCV is still open, I'd grab it!

Renovations hopefully will be done by then so room should look great.

We are also doing an adults only trip on exactly the same dates! Are you open to a split stay? You could do BWV for the open dates and then a MK area resort maybe for the other half. We are splitting between VGF for nice meals and relaxing by the pool for the first half, then BLT for proximity to the Halloween party and TOTWL for the second half.

Don't forget the Food and Wine Fest will be going on during your stay. So if you are planning on going to Epcot a lot I would stay at the Beach Club if you can get it!! You can crawl back to your room after an evening of eating and drinking around the World Show Case!!! Which ever you choose you will be in Disney so let the magic begin!!!

Beach Club anyway, but especially considering that you will probably do Poly on a later trip. Stormalong Bay is not to be missed, and the Yachtsman Steakhouse is a great restaurant. The Poly is also great but always feels busy & crowded, and the pool is much smaller.

These are our two favorites, so it's a difficult choice. We had always stayed at the Poly until our family outgrew a single room, and then we picked BCV as our home resort. Considering you have another trip planned for the Poly, and F&W is going on, I would probably go with Beach Club. The other alternative, since it is just the two of you, would be to consider a split stay and enjoy them both.

Since you wanted to stay at the BWV, I'd suggest BCV as a not too shabby runner-up. Its in the same area and you can visit BWI to enjoy what it has to offer, too

BCV is in renovation so that may affect your decision.

Do a split stay, best of both worlds! :thumbsup2That's what we did for our F&W trip in October. LOVE both resorts. Good luck deciding!:cheer2:

I agree with Bill, the renovation at BCV would put me off until it is finished.
