I realize we're all in uncharted territory here, but our 60-day deadline is Friday. Has anybody been through this yet and, if so, what are the options for requests/what did you choose and why?

Alternately, does anyone have suggestions?

It would just be guesses on our parts as no one has seen the remodeled areas around the longhouses. What view and villa type do you have? If standard, I would ask for a garden view and hope that I don't get a parking lot view. Or you could request to be in Moorea, the standard views there are all garden. If you were going in mid-June or later I would be worried about getting construction noise and views of the remodel of the leisure pool for the rooms in Tokelau.

Thanks for your comments. It's the standard view studio the first week of May. I didn't even have the points for this. We extended our stay a night and rented points when we realized that Polynesian was available.

Online check in request options at all of the resorts are not really DVC friendly. Often the selections have nothing to do with the DVC units.

Your best bet is to make your request now via the contact form on the member website. Problem is MS and the room assigner might not know anything about the rooms or their locations.

That's very informative, thank you. Out of curiosity, what did you pick and why?

I went with upper floor only because it's just DD9 and I on this trip, plus hoping for some kind of a view even if just standard. However, I selected early check-in above all since we arrive the day before and will be at Coranado. I'll probably leave Coranado early and at least drop off the bags before going to MK.

By the way, I gave my building request to DVC. Went for Moorea so we are a quick walk to the new pool!
