I have kids. Germs? I laugh in their face.
Anyone messes with ducks, they mess with me.

Ducks are my nemesis. Besides the pond I've also been pecked in the eye by a duck. Peking style is the best duck.
JK - kind of......
Donald is hurt by this, I suspect. Donald Duck is best duck.
And that service is independent of the cabanas.
I just don't see the cabanas at the pool as a mad money grab. After they removed them at Lava, a lot of people have wanted a cabana option. Oasis is small and has only 3. People were doing insane stuff to try to "reserve" them. It's actually easier on CMs, I expect, to be able to use the cash reservation to enforce, instead of having to deal with "those people moved my towels!" "Those towels were there 3 hours and they were no where around!" etc. etc.
Have a few myself, this was in reference to falling into a duck pond when I was little. And just for reference my son got a really bad germ when he was little and almost passed, the infectious disease doctor and the pediatric pulmonologist asked if he had been in contact with any birds first thing.I have kids. Germs? I laugh in their face.
I think it is a good idea to charge for the Cabanas. All upscale resorts charge for cabana use. The chair reserving is a problem everywhere, but at Disney it is especially rude because they will reserve chairs, loungers and tables in the morning, then go to a park and come back in the afternoon to use their chairs. We spend all day at the Lava pool and saw many guests do this.
If you need to pay for a seat at the pool, what's next pay toilets?
Are the cabanas somehow roped off? How would you know they are for "rent"? From what I remember, they are just a roof covered area, so I'm not sure
how it could be modified to be rented.
We prefer this pool too. There was a fabulous bartender there last May who kept us laughing.
Yes, roped off and signs on the tables stating that they need to be reserved. It's very obvious.
