Does anyone know if the music they play throughout Polynesian available on a CD? If not, can you suggest a similar CD? :3dglasses

The loops played around the Polynesian Resort are plucked from many different artists and CDs. The loop was compiled by the music division of Disney and they are not able to sell it. I used to have the complete list of music/musicians/CDs which was supplied to me by guest services. Sadly, last year my computer crashed and I lost the information. You might try writing guest services and requesting the list. Then again, I did give a copy of the list to a couple of other DISers and maybe even posted it. Hopefully, someone else can help you better.

I'd love to have a copy of that list! If anyone out there has the list, could you please post it on this thread or PM me?!?! Thanks!!!

I performed a search of my past posts and didn't locate the list on my first run through. . .if I could just remember where I posted it--unfortunately, that was well over a year ago and my memory isn't that good! :confused3

I know there has to be someone out there who likes the Polynesian music as much as I do! Come on, help me out here. I try to help with "Which is better ---- or ----, and the resort mug Q's, and the AP discount watch...

I thought i read somewhere (maybe tikiman's site) that there are CDs in the gift shop at the Poly.

The CDs are not of the music loop played throughout the resort, rather Polynesian music. The CDs are still enjoyable--although when you want to hear Polynesian music, it's the Resort loop you want. We actually took our video camera to the pool, focused it on Hawaii, and let it record the loop. I pop it in once in awhile when I feel the need. The water splashing in the background, kids swimming in the pool, the resort music loop, and a lovely view of the Hawaii building. . .

The Resort used to sell a music CD of the Luau music. but the last time I was there, none were to be had. The Resort does carry other CDs of Island music.

Tess... THAT is what I'm talking about! What a GREAT idea with the video camera. I can't wait to make one myself. pirate:

Glad to help you and give you an idea! It worked super for us! Just be sure to find a speaker that's working well and choose a lovely spot on which to focus--the beautiful flowers are also quite lovely to look at AND you won't have the distraction of folks walking around the pool! :) We parked ourselves just outside the little hut on the south/east side of the quiet pool. Actually, that's my hut and I'm sure by now our name is engraved on the table just in front of it too! :rotfl: We may have to do this again this year and face the camera in a southerly direction away from the pool--less pool noise, more music clarity. . .can't wait to try it though!

Good luck on your recording. . .it sure comes in handy on those snowy, cold evenings--like tonight. :cold:
