Which concierge would you choose? This is for a girls only pre-Christmas trip (Dec. 17-23) for my sister and I. She is a huge monorail fan, so a monorail resort is a must! We say we want this to be a relaxing "girly" trip, but she hasn't been in a while so I imagine we'll end up doing one relaxing spa day and being park commandos the rest of the time.

What are the real differences between RPC and lodge concierge at the GF? I know that lodge doens't serve wine and isn't in the main building. There is about a $700 price difference between the two, so I was wondering if the atmosphere is just that much better at RPC.

Thanks!

Ok, a couple of things to consider with the resorts themselves. IF you want a resort that is done to the nines with Christmas stuff, Grand Floridian is your resort. From the million white lights to the 60 foot tall Christmas tree in the lobby, the resort truly feels like a Victorian Christmas fantasy. The concierge, however, is a different subject.
Grand:Sugarloaf is NOT full concierge. Concierge snacks stop in the evening, around 7. There is no alcohol served in Sugarloaf.
Poly: Best concierge hands down. Services are provided until 10 and there is alcohol served (wines, cordials)
They will both offer a continental breakfast and snacks. Poly also has a hot or main "appetizer" every night and also some very yummy desserts.
Poly has coolers set up with bottled water, sodas, etc for on the go.
Grand does not; you must ask for beverages and they do not have "portable" beverages. (i.e) water is served in a glass.

Just a note....Polynesian concierge no longer offers individual bottles of water. My DH noticed this in Nov. and others have reported the same.

We had two lovely holiday stays in Sugar Loaf. Other than no alcohol and no desserts...as Sparkles said, there is no food service after seven....the rest of concierge services there is the same I believe. There is a desk right in the lounge that is staffed from 7am to 10pm if I remember correctly. Really loved being there for the holidays.

But I also agree with Sparkles that the Polynesian concierge is fantastic. Five days until we return!!
