My family will be staying at the poly 8/15-24 2013, it is our first stay here (so excited). It will be me, dh, and dd's ages 9, 8 & 7. Anyway, we have a standard view room booked....any suggestions on which longhouse to request. We don't really have our heart set on any specific location...TIA!

We stayed in Samoa and loved it. We thought it was conveniently located to everything as it's just steps from the volcano pool, GCH, the beach, and Captain Cooks :goodvibes.

We have stayed 3rd floor Samoa with balcony facing the Volcano Pool and also Fiji, overlooking Marina and back of volcano slide and lake. WHile I loved them both hands down I really liked Fiji....I loved being over the water and paying standard view for it was awesome. Right next to GCH, maybe literally 3-5 minute longer walk to pool....

You will LOVE it there, the grounds are beautiful, the transportation of the monorail or the boat is wonderful. Take the kids to the character breakfast at O'Hanas...

HAVE FUN!!!!

Tikiman has a great site. We were in Tokelau, beach end of building. It was a great location, just go out the beach exit and it's a short walk to main pool. Go out the other end and you are very close to GCH, and path to TTC. Quiet pool is right next to longhouse.

Another thing about the "newer" longhouses are that all floors have balconies, and bathrooms are a better layout. The rooms are also a tad larger.
Tikiman has the room diagrams on his web site.
The other longhouses don't have balconies on 2nd floor.

We faced Hawaii longhouse so we could see the castle if we looked to the right off our balcony.

We've always stayed in Tuvalu - lagoon view or TPV. I preferred the lagoon view, we were on the first floor and with 3 kids, we used the outside space a bit more than when we were on the 3rd floor for TPV.
The view is spectacular, we could see Wishes, EWP, the GF, Space mountain.
