Poly in June 2014

We are going to stay at the poly next June but have been hearing some stuff about construction staring there soon. Anyone know anything about this? Should I be worried about staying there next summer? I'm bringing my sister who is 64 and never been there...just want to make this vacation something she will never forget!!

That's the million dollar question. Something is starting this September , what will be next summer is anyone's guess at this time.

I am concerned about this as well. We already have our 2 rooms booked for the POLY next June. Will keep watching to see if the pool will be closed when we are there (I can't imagine they would do that in a summer month). Using the pool at the GF while at the POLY would not be acceptable for my 2 boys. I hope we don't have to change hotels late in the game.....

We picked The Polynesian for multiple reasons but a big factor was the volcano pool with zero entry for the toddlers, sand to play in, and monorail access. I just hope we will get an early shout out if the pool will be closed in June. Just watching all the threads on this subject and watching Tikiman's site as well.

I would love to stay here in September 2014 for our 1st trip but not sure I want to risk construction for our 1st trip! Would not be cool to have to take a bus over to another resort to use their pool....
