How are the ground floor concierge rooms? Any drawabacks? Hubby would like to request this because of our 3 kids. Interested in some input.

THANKS!

Kristine

From what I have read, privacy may be an issue, it gets a little busy on the walkway to the beach. We like to get in our jammies at night and sit on the belcony, I would feel a little self-conscious doing this w/ people walking by. On the other hand w/ little ones, they have more room to play!

Ground floor is my favorite. You can see the castle fireworks and EWP just as good as from the 3rd floor (if your room is not blocked). Some of the upper floors can be blocked by palm tree tops and even though the ground can be blocked, if it is you just walk right out to the beach. You are about 20-30 feet from the path and I never found it to have a lot of traffic myself. I like to be able to stretch out and not be confined to a patio. Also for most people if you are sitting in the chair on a patio the railing height is right at eye level so you either have to look down through the railing or stand up. We never seemed to have any issues with noise above us. The only noise seemed to come from the kids running down the hall at 6:00 in the morning.

With that said many love the upper floors and I would not be disappointed to be on an upper floor at all.

We stayed on the ground floor and liked the ability to just walk out to the beach, snag a seat and watch the ELP and fireworks. We did not find any issues with people walking by/privacy. There are thick drapes to close if you are changing etc.
