Wondering if this is as good as the agent said. She was "giddy" about it and kept repeating..."Wow, I can't believe this!" She was really quite sweet and made me laugh! Because we are a family of 5, there wasn't alot to choose from.

We got a 40% off pin and she said this price was more then half. ( This is for Feb)

We booked three nights for $739 all taxes in.(including a Friday night stay)

This is alot more then we usually pay for rooms ( we are more of the "moderate " resort goers...) but I thought if it is really that good we should go for it.I have always wanted to stay here.... but could not justify the price.

Would love your feedback! Is it really that good?
Thanks!

When in February are you going? If you're going once the rates go up to peak rates that is an AMAZING deal because the rooms run about $500/night during that time. If you're going at the start of Feb. when the rates are still value it's still a great deal -- seems to come to exactly 40% of the rates at that time. Either way, I think that's a really good rate for the Poly. Have fun:goodvibes.

We are going first week of Feb. I did a check on Disney's website after posting and it is 40% discount . But Friday is usually a little more, so maybe that's what the agent meant.

Congrats!! Thats a great price. Its still considered Value Season (before the crowds arrive) but the rates for Poly normally are still $355 a night (2009 rates, I'm sure 2010 is more expensive). We stayed Poly once and loved it, we made it more of a resort stay, we were there 5 nights and only went to MK twice. Our motto that trip was that if we can't get there by Monorail or boat we weren't going. It was our first time eating Concourse Steakhouse ( no longer open) and HDDR. My daughter never wanted to get out of the pool, she Loved the volcano slide. When we went it was during 2004 (the year they had 3 hurricanes) so we got GV CL for $300 a night, probably why we never went back, we were spoiked by that price. I think of it as our once in a lifetime trips, we had a great time. Make sure to watch Wishes from the beach, they have a wooden swing that fits 3, we watched Wishes from there every night.

A big plus is you should have great weather.

That is a GREAT price !!! yes, snatch it up.

We paid $244 a night with AP discount last month and that was the lowest I had seen this year....definately book it if you can afford it.

of course if Poly was that cheap...then the mods may be even a greater deal. ;)

I got a price for the cabins and they were $162 a night.
I thought about taking that instead but the Poly has always been a "wish"
so I think I will surprise the family with that. Plus I have read that the transportation to the cabins can be a a challenge( buses?) The monorail will be so much easier.

With all the deals out right now, I just wanted to make sure this was a really good one. ( Like a once in a lifetime for us!) or else we will just book a Mod.(and yes they were pretty cheap too! I think $96 a night).

I think thats a fabulous price, and I think you need to go with your gut and what you are willing to pay and not look at how much cheaper it will be someplace else..

we are going next November (2010) and are staying at the poly for the first time and as of right now I don't have a code (I am sure there will be one, but they are not out yet) and its alot! :lmao: but I am just going to plan for that price and know that it will come down.. like hopefully with the same 40% pin that I just got too..
BUT, I keep telling myself to NOT look at the prices for the mods... yes, I like the mods, I loved POR, BUT my dream is to stay at the poly too...
so, if you can afford it.. don't look back! go and have a fabulous time!! :wizard:

I just booked for Jan 23-30. The price with 4/3 was $100 cheaper because of the 7 nights. The 40% off is an AWESOME price for the Poly for shorter stays!!

Yes, I would take it!! That is really cheap for a room at the Poly. Usually a night costs at least $300 if you go during slow times and at least $500 during busy times. Have a wonderful trip!

A 40% room discount is as good as I've seen at the Polynesian in recent years, and, since that's 40% off the cheapest time you can go, it's unlikely to ever get any better than what you got. If staying at the Polynesian has always been a wish, this sounds like the perfect time to make it come true!

Ok, This is good... and just what I was hoping to hear.

We will staying at the POLY!!! :cool1::cool1:

Thanks for your replies!

I booked Poly for 5 nights in late Jan (over a weekend) for 246 per night (garden view) using a PIN. I am assuming my higher price is because we are on a weekend? Our last trip to WDW was the Poly in Jan 07 but then we used AAA discount rates. This is secret Xmas present for the kids but I enjoy it just as much as them. I considered the Contemporary but always fallback to the Poly (a favorite from childhood.)

My guess is that your figure includes tax. The math would be right for you to be getting the room for $219 a night plus the tax (I'm remembering it to be about 12.5%) So I don't think it's because it's over a weekend.

SO glad to read this, we are booked at the Poly the same week as you and I was wondering if the 40% or 4/3 (which is what we currently have) was better. Thanks!

OP stay at the Poly, I've always wanted to stay there and this trip will be our "once in a lifetime" trip - I could stay at the family suites at All Stars for $500 less, but my girls are about to become "Disney adults" so we are gonna spring for the Poly while we still can! Enjoy :wizard:

Yes! I am going to keep the reservation. Did you say you are there the same week as us? I won't be hard to miss....I will probably have tears running down my face the majority of the time..( thinking "I just love this place!"And "I can't beleive I am actually here!") Yes, I do get a bit emotional over these things! I am so excited!
