Many years ago, on these boards, i read a couple of things about snake encounters at the poly - and it scared me off staying in the ground floor rooms.
I am staying in December in a lagoon view room, and would much rather have a ground floor, as opposed to a room with no balcony, but I'm terrified of snakes. Is this a huge problem - the snake thing, or just an isolated incidence? i would love a ground floor room if there were no snakes, and feel that i have more chance of not being put on a second floor if i leave my requests as open as possible (i need a balcony or patio as i smoke, but never in the room).
Also, I have studied Tikiman's site and so far as i can see, only Tuvalu or Tahiti have lagoon view rooms, which is great - as I would love to be in one of those buildings. Am i correct?
