What is a garden view like at the Poly? Does anyone have any pictures to share? Should I request a certain building, certain room? Also, I kinda wanted a balcony. What type of room has a balcony with enough room for chairs and all to drink coffee/wine while enjoying the scenery? I was looking at some pictures of Poly ground floor rooms where there is just a patio with chairs right by the grassy area. I'm not interested in this room. I'm just wondering where the best GARDEN VIEW is at POLY? Thanks!

The Poly has lovely garden views. Tahiti has some of my favorite, plus the larger rooms and balconies on both the second and third floors.

Last May we had a garden view in Rapa Nui (also balconies on 2nd & 3rd floors and the large rooms) that we loved. The building is the furthest out from the GCH, but right next to the TTC. Here are the views from our second-floor balcony (inside the room and out):

Soooooooooooo lovely! Thanks for posting. POLY has always been my #1 choice for our WDW first family trip but wasn't sure it was going to happen so I have also been looking at other deluxes and POFQ for a moderate. My heart is so with POLY and I know I won't be happy anywhere else. I have always loved the whole theming of the resort and can't wait to eat some TONGA TOAST-the pics of that look oh so yummy :) The volcano pool will be great for the kids and it just looks like a very lovely resort and to be on the monorail just makes it the perfect resort for our 1st family trip with our kids and our 15th wedding anniversary. THANKS FOR YOUR PICS. THEY HELPED ALOT :) :)

Here is our garden room at the Poly, it turned out to be a marina view in the Fiji building

This is a (camera phone) pic from our garden view room, first floor, Fiji building. I don't remember the room number. But my in-laws were directly across the hall and they had a foliaged patio kinda thing that look right out onto the boat rental area. We, obviously, looked out towards the beach at the Grand Floridian. We were near the Luau and we could hear the crowds walking back and forth at night and the music and such. We go to sleep early, so I could have done without that. My son liked it because it was like we had a back yard to play in. There were a lot of lizards!

I promise you, if you stay at the Poly (esp. for a first family trip!) you will NOT regret it!

We've stayed there multiple times over the years and my ds went to the Neverland Club on almost every trip from age 5 to 12. I celebrated my 30th birthday there, and dh and I celebrated our 10th and 15th anniversaries there, too, so obviously it's a very, very special place to us. It just "fits" our family! :cloud9:

I hope you and your family love it, too!! :goodvibes

We really love the Poly also. The garden views are just as wonderful in most cases as the MK views....minus the MK. The whole resort IMO is just very relaxing.

We just got back from the Polly, well a month ago. Oh it really is the greatest resort!!!! If you check out Tikiman, (just google) his site is all about the Polly you can get a feel for which building you want to request. We are in the works for planning our third trip to the Polly, not for a couple of years, but half the fun is in the planning!!!

google tikiman 2001. He has the greatest website all about the Poly.
