DVD Guides are reporting that the Poly info will be available after the first of the year.

Some Guides are starting their list of interested buyers so if you are planning to buy at the Poly, you might want to give your Guide a call.

I was at Disney World this past weekend (not staying there though) and asked to see the rooms they have at the DVC center. I asked about the Poly when there and as we were going around it was pointed out that the plastic tarp at the end of the hall is where the Poly room is going to be placed. They also said they didn't know anything about when the Poly would go on sale but to expect something around the beginning of the year.

I need more info on how the points will be allocated/ what the rooms are like before I even think about it.

We just passed ROFR on a contract at VGF but would also like to add on some points at the Poly next year. One question since we probably won't be in Disney's system as DVC owners until around December 1st: when a new resort opens up for purchase, does Disney automatically send any info regarding pricing and points allocations out to its current members? Or will I need to request it from DVC? Thanks!

As soon as you become a member, call your Guide, you will have one assigned to you. The Guides will be busy with existing members who have shown an interest in buying, after that wave has passed, additional info will be released.

Word of caution, you might want to spend some time as an owner before you go on a buying spree. What if you don't care for the DVC, or the Poly?

We bought BLT before it opened and don't really care for the place but others love it. Everyone has different expectations and tastes. Some love the theme park view from BLT, I see it as a parking lot view, the roof of space mountain and the castle in the distance.

Just keep an eye on the boards. You can be sure that as soon as DVD releases any info, someone will be posting it here. :)

Oddd are in your favor that you'll get any available special member pricing/incentives (if any) if you choose to buy.

Congratulations on passing ROFR and welcome home!

I'm with PP, waiting to see point charts to see how far my AKL points will go :)

My assumption is that DVD built the 20 over-the-water units to attract direct Poly buyers. The odds of them being available at 7 months isn't that great. It will be like CL at AKV.

I have been on "the list" with my guide for a year. I got an email from him about a month ago stating that he is hearing the first quarter of 2015 for pre-sale. I'm cruising in Feb so hopefully they'll offer it then. We'll see.

DVD just made the final declaration for VGF so it is now 100% declared for the DVC membership (see article). As VGF gets closer to its "sold out" point, the sooner DVD will need to roll out the Poly.

I don't see how they will keep the plunge pools clean and what it will cost to maintain them?

I bet they will all be on one interconnected system-- and highly chlorinated.

With the small size of the pools, they could turn over the entire contents in a short while. Probably have a large holding tank somewhere--- maybe the volcano pool? Add some chlorine to the water on it's way to the plunge pools, and let it feed back into the main pool. ??

Uhhhhhhh, I have my own hot tub and know who and what has been in it :thumbsup2...no way would I consider the plunge pool that someone else used; unless the water was DUMPED and pool walls scrubbed and refilled....regardless how much chemicals they put in....

Wish they just left a large patio over the water. :laundy:

ok I'm missing something, where are these plunge pools? Are there pictures?

Each of the bungalows over the water has its own private plunge pool. Not sure if there are any pictures close up yet. :thumbsup2

It is more than a report there are many photos of them on the Internet.

I would imagine those buildings they built near the bungalows will have something to do with the water system for them.

How long will it take for Poly to sell out do you think?

My guess is a couple of years but if rumors are true it will be a different type of DVC resort.

The 20 over-the water units are 2-bedrooms and will cost the same each night as a weeks stay in a studio.

The other units will be connecting studios since studios are so popular.

Not many 1 bedroom units.
