Poly DVC Studio Rooms

Thinking about renting DVC points for our May trip and was considering the Poly. Can anyone tell me if the studio rooms are the same as the rooms you reserve through Disney? Do they look the same?

No they are not the same. They have 1 queen bed, 1 queen sofa bed and a pull down bunk bed. The living space will be smaller Than a standard room but the bathroom larger. You will also have a mini kitchen with a fridge and microwave

they don't look like the Polyn hotel rooms at all.

It has 2 bathrooms - but only one w/toilet - it has one queen bed with under storage and a queen sleeper sofa - tiny kitchenette

You can reserve a Poly studio through Disney and it would be the same. They are different than the regular Poly rooms that have been there since 1971.

When you say the same do you mean in price or just how the room looks?

The studios all look the same whether you book through DVC or Disney. The price would not be comparable because DVC is booked with points, where Disney is a cash rate.

Personally, I feel the DVC rooms are currently nicer than the 'old' Poly rooms. I was there earlier this month with my wife.

We stayed in Moorea in 1997 and thought the rooms were more spacious back then. The bathroom area was much smaller than it is in the studios. They took a lot of the living area to make the larger bathroom space.

Just rented points for a deluxe studio at the POLY for next March. It was considerably less than what it would have cost if I booked the room online with Disney. Considerably!!! This is our first time renting points so I'm excited to see how it goes.

I am at Poly now in a standard studio. Highly recommend you ask for Moorea or Pago Pago. Tokela has construction screen all around it.

Based on several posts on Tikiman's FB page, it appears the East pool is completely surrounded but the long house are not.
