Poly DVC, Magic bands to get into the pool?

Can someone explain how the pool admittance works at the Polynesian?
Does everyone in your party need to bring their MB to get into the pool, or can the kids leave theirs in the room and enter with their parents?

As long as someone in your party has a MB you should be fine. It's just to open the gait if someone doesn't hold it for you. The pool is intended for poly guest only and to keep out pool hoppers.

I was there last week and it is super easy to get into the pool area without a MB and there is nobody checking either

The same was true when I was there during Spring Break.
