What was your experience on distance between long houses to pools.... GCH....etc....
Could you say where you stayed and how long it would take you to get places?
thanks

Stayed in the Fiji longhouse in March '06. It was probably a 3 minute walk (maybe less) to the volcano pool and GCH, somewhere between 5-8 minutes to get to the bus stop or self-parking lot, and maybe 8-10 minutes tops to walk across property to the TTC.

We thought Fiji was a great location, and would stay there again in a heartbeat (we chose it at the time because it was already refurbished with good GV views).

We've stayed in Rarotonga- by far THE best location: right next to the GCH, pool, bus stop, and a minor walk to the TTC. The only con: the 3rd floor rooms facing the parking lot...
We've also stayed in Rapa Nui- we really didn't like the location: the furthest, (other than Tahiti) from everything except for the TTC.
And our last trip had us in Rarotonga: a bit of a walk to everything except for the quiet pool. Lovely views- some are of the lagoon although they're still considered GV rooms.
Fiji is one request we've never gotten- our Holy Grail! It seems to have great views AND location.:cloud9:

Last Christmas we stayed in 3rd floor Tuvalu. From our room to Kona Coffee Bar in GCH was about 5 minutes. For us to stroll to the TTC was about 12 minutes, but you can get there in less. To the volcano pool it took maybe 3-5 minutes, depending on how fast we walked. To the other pool 5-7 minutes. Poly guests get to use GF spa. It was about a 10 minute walk there, I think. Keep in mind that we don't typically rush, so ymmv.

So glad you said this because we also stroll! Especially since we will be with our little one.
We really didn't want the times from the people who sprint :rotfl: It's just not us:laughing:

I also would say no longer then 10 minutes at the most if you stroll. I mean my dh, my self & the kids walk fast (especially if they are in a stroller) so for us, 5 min.

OH & just in case if it rains, map out how to get back to your longhouse from the TTC by not getting to wet-by walking thru the longhouses.

We were just there last week, stayed in Fiji room 2321. Had a view of the marina and a super short walk to the main house, the volcano pool and the other pool...great location

Thanks all... :goodvibes I was looking for some times since I wondered if they were different than what was officially listed. A lot of times when you hear from others the times are a little different than what is posted. Especially if people walk slower etc...

We love Tokelau. Have stayed there several times. Great location for watching Wishes from MK. My hubby is disabled and a slow walker and I also have a 3 year old. I'd say 2 minutes to Volcano pool, 1 minute to the beach,10 to TTC and 3 to 5 to GCH. He walks with the youngest and the two older ones and I sprint everywhere and just wait!

We stayed at Tokelau in 2006, GREAT centrally located spot! We'd request this longhouse again if we ever stayed at the Poly again.

LillersMom is right on with the times!
