Poly Concierge: Which View?

I am thinking about changing our GV concierge room at the Ploly to a LV concierge room. This is going to be a special trip for just my wife and I. I want it to be extra special and I am thinking of suprising her with this change.

What do you think? It will be about $300 more for the week, but I am not worried about the money. I just want it to be worth it.

we did the upgrade at the poly conc to lv also- and it was nice to sit out on the porch and watch everything - the parade and the castle view was awesome
we were on the first floor so we could just walk out the door to the sand

Two years ago we stayed in the Hawaii bldg for the first time. We were going to stay 4 nights in GV room and then drive up the coast to visit family and then come back for 5 nights in a LV room. The second part of our stay was during our anniversary. We had requested a ground floor room close to the pool. When we got there we ended up with a second floor room. I was really disappointed. I had thought about how nice it would be to sit on the patio, soak up the view and watch the kids on the beach. We asked if we could get our GV rate and switch back to GV. That wasn't a problem and we saved $300 which made my dh very happy. The GV rooms have very nice views of the property. If I knew I could be guaranteed a 1st floor LV room then I would make a LV reservation, but since they can't do that we always stay in GV and are very happy with it I think if you don't mind what floor you will be on then it might be something to consider. The view from the second floor was great, but I really wanted to feel like we had some extra space from the patio and we wanted to be able to sit out and enjoy the view we were paying for. The strange thing is, is that we like the second floor on the GV side

Since it's just the two of you and you don't need to concern yourself with little ones' access to the beach, I'd book lagoon view and ask for the floor of your preference. Very romantic gazing at the castle and lagoon from any floor. Have fun!
