Hi! I know these 2 resorts are completely different, being that one is a deluxe and the other a mod. but I still would like opinions please :p

I am planning a trip for May 2005 with my boyfriend, and am torn between which of these 2 to pick. I have read several different websites dedicated to each resort (including Tikiman's, which is awesome), I know there is a lot of walking at Coronado (which I don't mind) but I haven't read too many negatives on Poly, I'm curious if it is worth the extra $$$ for Poly Concierge LV or should I just go with Coronado S.?

We are young and I LOVE everything about Poly but the price is about $3500 more than if we went with Coronado S, we are going for 8 days.

If anyone has opinions I would be greatful! :D

My boyfriend and I are staying at CSR in Sept, however my dream resort is the poly. Unfortunately, the poly is just way too expensive for us right now...especially because we plan on doing the gold plan. In my opinion....if it is not going to break the bank...go for the poly. It is an incredibly romantic resort. If some decent codes come out to bring the price down we'll be staying there too. Fingers crossed and hoping for some pixie dust.

well its still very early, as you know, but by the time your trip comes around, more than likely it won't be $3500 more. in the past I've gotten poly concierge GV for $229/night!

but i've stayed at both and Poly concierge is my absolute favorite! and since you are going to be staying there for 8 days, location is important and you'll want non-park time. And the Poly is a great place to relax. plus the food and staff are top notch! PLUS PLUS the location is just perfect!

if money isn't that big of a concern, I'd go for it. otherwise, stay at the CS and have some really great dinners out!

happy planning!

If money isn't really an issue, then it's a no brainer...you have to choose the Poly...

with that being said, you may want to consider doing a split...as the post above said, the prices do go down in value season times...and with a good code you can get a garden view concierge room for about 225-275 a night...check your dates and see what season they fall in (value, regular, peak or holiday)

what we usually do, and plan on doing this august, is stay at another resort for 3-4 days and then switch over to the Poly for 3-4 days...this way you get to experience a taste of two different resorts (which can be as much fun as the theme parks sometimes)...

just something to consider... :)

Thanks for the info, I know I still have so much time :( , but I just want to start saving! :p I'm going to go with the Poly LV Conc. It's really worth it, I forgot about having to rest  , so it will be nice to rest at the Poly! :) I have another question, I'm still new at this planning and was looking at waltdisneyworld.com to see what the costs would be (approx.) to do a package, I was just going to do the standard magic package ( I think that's what it's called). We don't need all of the meals and extras. The total was $4800 with airfare, which I looked at through SW was a total of $5200. So not too bad but CS was about $2600 total , do you know where I can go to get better deals as far as hotel and UPH passes, should I call disney directly and ask about the codes? I'm just not sure where to get the best discount, thanks for your help! :wave2:

If cost is a factor, why don't you do Poly without Concierge & maybe even do garden view. We love the deluxe resorts, we have kids and use the balcony alot.
