Poly Concierge Garden View

Hi! I'm new here and have been really enjoying reading all the posts. I've learned so much, and you all are so helpful!

We are making our first trip to WDW in July. We are staying at the Poly in a Concierge GV Room.

We plan to ask for a first floor room. Are all the views the same or are there some rooms that are better than others? Should any room be avoided?

We were in the Hawaii Building and on the second floor. We had a view of the newest quiet pool and some trees. I will post a picture if I can find one! Have fun!

"Not sure about the room #s. . .
The elevator is located just off the concierge lobby. It exits on the 2nd and third floors at the entrances to the lounge area.

There are several rooms on the lagoon side that would be affected by the noise from the elevators and maybe only one or two on the garden side. Likewise, the garden side first room or two must also contend with the service area just outside the front doors to Hawaii.

In the past we've had rooms about mid-way down the hall GV on the 1st floor (1530 and 1532--ring a bell--but I won't swear to it); the last room on the LV side (farthest from the lounge) 1st floor (1519??); and the next to last room GV on 3rd floor (3520). We've never had a room we didn't like.

If you stay away from the first few rooms of LV and the first one or two GV, you should be fine."

We stayed once on the 3rd floor and once on the 1st floor. Our first floor room was 1530 or thereabouts. It was closer to the far end. Nice view, HOT on the patio with full sun mid-morning, drove us to the pool! Also the ducks like to meet you esp. if you have food! But it was great--we are trying LV concierge for 2 days of our July trip!

Tess: Thanks for the info about the elevators, I'll make a note to ask them not to place us in those first couple of rooms

Robin: My girls will love the ducks. Hopefully they'll come up to our patio too!

Do try for a 1st floor room. We stayed half way down the hallway, on the 1st floor. Just perfect. The ducks were there every morning and my 2 girls loved it. We were so close to the quiet pool also. And just an elevator ride away for the concierge.
