After placing my deposit with AAA, when Should I hear from the Concerige people. I will be leaving in July, 2004 and placed the deposit last week. Does anyone have the e-mail address for the concerige department at the Poly? Thanks.

How exciting for you!

We'll be in Hawaii in a few weeks and I heard from the concierge office about 5 weeks before our checkin date so I think it will be quite a while before you have a call from them.

You should get a mailing from the Polynesian fairly soon though. It will ask you if you want to make dinner show reservations, have room preferences, etc.. It also will have the email address, phone number, etc..

We also have a ressie for the Poly for this summer finally staying in concierge! My question is to anyone who can answer! I usually make PS arrangements myself. I know that one of the services the concierge gives you is PS booking for you. But what if you are requesting a very popular restaurant...like CRT for breakfast! Do they have better chances of getting the PS than us...or is it the same pool of ressies? I don't know if I should rely on the concierge to do all the bookings(especially because I've heard that they don't mail out the request form to guest until after the 90th day prior to check-in)! Any thoughts?!?

I do believe that the concierge itinerary planners have a better chance of getting those hard to get ressies like Cindy's breakfast. For instance, the BoardWalk concierge just got me an Illuminations fireworks cruise recently. What I do is email the concierge just before the 90 day PS mark with my dining requests. That way they can get them on the 90 day mark for each day of my stay. I have never had them not be able to get something for me. Plus, it makes a note on your PS if the concierge books it for you that you're a concierge guest. I have heard (though I've never personally experienced it) that it *sometimes* can get you a slightly shorter wait or better table if that's on your PS. Of course, I've never had that happen to me, so I'm not sure it's true.

Though I don't have answer to your question, I wanted to say that we are staying there in July too!

AKL sent out the information sheet shortly after I made reservations, well before the 90 day mark and then contacted my by email at around 90 days out

Keep in mind you must have a confirmed Polynesian Concierge Reservation so that they can assist you.

we usually get our itenerary about 3 months before arrival.

You may have a slightly better chance of getting hard to get dinner reservations but they don't guarantee anything.
