Hello All! My family and I are thinking about going down in Nov/December and we are looking to stay at the Poly, ONLY if we can get in the main building! I got a quote for conceirge service, does that place me in the main building? Or do they have seperate building levels for conceirge like the GF does? Also what were your experiences with staying at the Poly.. as well as conceirge. Plus if you could offer some pros and cons.. if there are any... between the different conceirges. TIA!!

The concierge building is Hawaii. There is also the suite on top of one of the other buildings.

Looks like the site link won't work, I removed it.

By "main building" do you mean the Great Ceremonial House which has the restaurants, shops and monorail station? If so, there are no resort rooms in that building. Concierge rooms are located in the Hawaii building and suites are in Tonga. The other buildings are regular rooms.

October will mark my 14th. visit to WDW. I have never stayed at Poly, and was wondering if I could get some feedback (hopefully positive). I have ALWAYS wanted to stay here and I am very excited about our upcoming visit.

As someone else said, there are no rooms in the main building at the Polynesian. The rooms are all in separate longhouses.

We stayed for the first time in January, and were in concierge with a Magic Kingdom view. It was wonderful. The resort staff was very friendly and helpful. We loved the pool and ambiance of the resort. Take a look at the link above, there are some great pictures of different areas of the resort, and lots of great info.

We are going back in September for our anniversary.

The Poly is AWESOME!!! I am now planning our third stay. Our first was a magic kingdom view in Tahiti, our second was concierge in Hawaii, our third will probably be magic kingdom view again. The view from your balcony at night is GORGEOUS, if you have magic kingdom view or lagoon view in Hawaii! The rooms are plenty large. The beach is great for the kids, they can't swim, but they can wade and build sand castles. (while you get a great tan!)

I, personally, would pick a magic kindom view over garden view concierge. And that said, I would pick lagoon (magic kindom view) concierge over regular magic kingdom view for convience. To me, garden view concierge is not worth the extra money. The bagels in the morning, gold fish crackers in the afternoon and the food offerings in the evening are NOT worth a garden view concierge. However, if you can do the lagoon view concierge, it is AWESOME!!!!!! Otherwise, I recommend a plain magic kingdom view! Have a great time!!!!

the pic of the view of the lagoon with castle and space mtn look beautiful - that would cinch the deal for me - if it were me kingom, i'd go for it and all i would have to do is just think of the view and the fantastic view you'd get of wishes!!! i'd be on :cloud9:

We have done both regular garden view rooms, samoa twice, aeorotora and niuie before it was changed to smoking only and you can look up my past nov./dec. review of Polynesian Concierge. We usually only book a garden view room and that was all that was left. We booked really late, like 3 weeks out. We are also never in the room that much. The concierge was definetely not worth the extra money to us. We had our 2 teen ds with us. They even said, we dont want to be with these rich people, we just want our regular room, go figure. Our room was on the lst floor but so far away from the lounge, we really dont even eat breakfast, more like a granola bar since we sleep in late and then spend most of our time in the parks. When we checked in the only thing they did was fix an adr mixup for us. We never got the chocolate postcards like everyone else said, our room had many problems upon checkin and maintenance was called. The staff was not very friendly, just an occasional aloha which was expected upon arriving in the bldg. The same staff had to pull double duty in the main bldg. with all the regular guests so how could they get to know the concierge guests. If you didnt get to the lounge by 5 pm it was like a long line and staking out a table at a counter service place. This is not a meal, just meant to be snacks. We dont drink alcohol so didnt take advantage of that. We did have the ds get some breakfast back to the room. They had to use the tray from our ice bucket. They did get a few sodas if we were around. Once we had the desserts. If you are celebrating a special occasion I guess the money would be worth it. Our view was not that good either. If you laid on the bed all you could see was a giant tree trunk. You had to go outside. I think our view was of another longhouse.

As you can see by my signature my family and I have a reservation for a Garden View Concierge room in the Hawaii building and since it's our very 1st stay at the Polynesian we are looking forward to it.

I've stayed at the Polynesian in a concierge room on 3 different trips and I have my pictures and comments from those trips on my web site. A picture is worth a thousand words! LOL Here are some links to my site:

We loved the garden view concierge. We had a nice view of the smaller pool. It was worth every penny to me. The lounge was great to have access to. It was so convenient to grab breakfast. The food in the evening was great. Depending on what we had eaten earlier in the day, there were times the evening food offering was enough for us for the day and we didn't need to get something else. It was really good, too. We had soup, potatoes, wings, bbq sandwiches, etc. It was nice to relax in the lounge and enjoy the view. Since there is 24 hour access it's nice if someone can't sleep and wants to have a place to be outside of the room. The location is great.
