Poly Cake ?

We are going to the Poly Sept/Oct & I thinking about getting 2 cakes. I would like some info from those who have order cakes from them. I know that there is a cake site but there is so much info & stuff on there that it would take me a long time to go through. The first cake I would like is a cake for the whole family I would like to be Polynesian/Hawiian Theme. I would like it to say "Let the Magical Begin" or something along this line. I would like to be delivered to the room while we are at the Luau. Do I have to get a 8in or 10in to have it decorated. What are the options for cake, filling, & icing. The second cake will be for celebrating my 30th B-Day at WDW 2 days before we leave. What are the choices for the 6in. Will I be able to have Happy Birthday on it. I would like it deliver to the room too. Can I pay for it when I order it. How far out do you order them? Does anyone have any photos to ones that they have gotten from the Poly? I would love to see them. Thanks for the help!

Below is what I found on the Cake Thread. From looking through it myself, it sounds like you can get almost any cake you want as long as you are willing to pay the price. It sounds like most 6 in. cakes are premade but the 8 or 10 inch cakes can be decorated as you would like. Also, from what I read on the cake thread, it sounds like delivering to your room is only done after you check in...not sure if you have to be there. Also, it depends on the resort to how/where they will deliver. Hope this helps!

5/29/07: DINE: New "Cake Hotline" for Guests requesting celebratory cakes at most Table Service dining locations. The Cake Hotline number is 407-827-2253 and requires 48 hours notice.

Sizes:
8" (serves 10) $25 plus tax
10: (serves 16) $40 plus tax
1/4 Full Sheet Cake (serves 20) $55 plus tax
1/2 Full Sheet Cake (serves 40) $80 plus tax

You can choose chocolate or vanilla cake AND standard buttercream icing or chocolate buttercream icing.

You can add the edible character(s) image that you want to the cake for a price of $8 for each image. They apologize but Winnie the Pooh characters are NOT available at this time.

You can add an inscription to the above cakes (e.g., Happy Birthday Joe, Happy Anniversary Dick and Jane). BUT only 2 names can be inscribed on an individual cake.

There is also the Mickey Mouse (Head) Cake. Mickey Mouse Cake $45 plus tax. NOTE: Inscriptions are NOT available on the Mickey Cake.
