Has anyone had any luck with finding availability for the newly remodeled rooms at Poly? I've tried several different dates in the fall/winter and nothing is available.

I think with the phased reopening it’s just easier for WDW to add room reservations for reopening resorts closer to the dates. Since that is likely also tied into their park capacity schedule.

For our travel dates in early November, only the suites were available. Now, those are also all gone.

We needed the suite so it worked out but I keep periodically checking to see if any of the regular rooms are available. I wouldn't rule out 2 rooms vs. a suite if that ended up saving us $$ but I'm not anticipating we'll find two connecting anyway at this point. I haven't seen them pop up at all.

Remodeling can take longer then expected, have material shortages/delivery issues or run into various complications. Likely, Disney doesn't want people to start reserving those rooms only to find out the schedule has been delayed and have to move them somewhere else.

Combine 1) what seems will be a tremendously popular renovation, 2) 50th anniversary buzz, 3) revenge or make up travel, 4) what is ultimately a rather small number of rooms for Disney hotel standards, relatively speaking (around 485 rooms), 5) Poly’s overall popularity... to me that’s a good combination for high demand and low supply. In my opinion.

Glad I booked my April 2022 trip when I did...

I've been booked for opening week for a while now.

Remodeling is proceeding. Been in a Poly studio for a couple of days. Saw some nice looking quartz being carted in yesterday. I think it’s safe to say this will look nice.
How are you liking the studio, Snaps?

Construction vehicles are parked in the front of the resort, on one side of the parking lot. We couldn’t hear anything. We saw some workers bringing in the quartz and what looked a cart full of empty light bulb boxes. We only saw the workers when going to catch a bus. It is so quiet and relaxing here, and the weather ideal. Got the room assignment early, like around 12:30 pm, and the luggage was delivered in short order. Tiki torches are lit around 6 I think. i miss the music playing along the beach, it is only noticeable at the pool. Oasis pool was chill. The cabanas were open. We saw a little boy‘s birthday party yesterday in one. There was always an umbrella over a table available. We passed on the other pool. We like the peace and quiet.

First and foremost, Club Level reservations are closed at all resorts and have been since WDW reopened last Summer, because the concierge lounges are closed. They've never listed any CL room as available, I don't know if they rent them out as normal rooms or they sit vacant, but considering the room crunch throughout WDW, I'm pretty sure their making use of them.

Second, the cash-side of the Poly is almost fully booked for July through the end of the year for the reasons that @GADisneyDad14 listed. My August trip has been booked since last July and there was already limited availility then, I've been watching availability drop steadily ever since. It's why Poly was left out of the latest promotion. If you don't see rooms available post July 19th, it's because they are full, or perhaps the hotel room inventory system doesn't like your travel plans, but reservations for Poly are not "on hold".

Some people have sporadically been “upgraded” to the main building at GF, but it’s random and they are not accepting any requests for it.

@snappy thanks for the daily updates. Do you happen know which building they were wheeling the head boards to?

I wish I did but I was sitting on a bench at the bus stop under the monorail tracks. All I can tell you is they were headed to the left hand side if you are facing the front of the resort.

Did I mention that the bar and the grill at the Oasis pool are both closed? Luckily the Tambu lounge was alive and well.

All guest areas were super clean, the mattress had to be brand new, it was so comfortable. The landscaping was well tended and lush as usual. We were disappointed that there were no ceramic mugs in the room for coffee. Good excuse to buy a new Mickey mug. We checked out around 10:30 today to head to the boardwalk for a few days. Bell services came within a few minutes for our luggage. We saw a bride and groom in full regalia on the beach taking selfies before 8 am. No other people with them. Seemed a little unusual but I bet they got some great photos during the golden hour.

Busses to MK were coming right and left Wednesday. Waited a long time for one to AK. Bus to Epcot came fast today. I can’t wait to return to the Poly.
