I went with the BC. The boardwalk area is fun and I think your family would like it. You can still see great fireworks from Epcot. Still good access to the parks. The pool area is beautiful.

I would love the Poly also but would be a little concerned about the view if you are going in March. I believe they will have the castle front walled off for a refurb for quite a while early next year.

I voted YC. We too LOVE the Poly for all the reasons stated above and more. We have been there 2 times in a row and for our next vacation we are choosing the YC. Yes--I love the look of the BC but I REALLY want a full balcony and YC gives us much better odds for that. I, unlike many, look forward to it being a more quiet resort after a day of sensory overload in the parks. I decided on YC to experience Disney from the "Epcot" side, for the fabulous pool, and different food options. Our kids are now 8 and 11 and will be 9 and 11 by the time we go so I am more comfortable with them at SAB. When they were younger, I would have been more stressed out given the currents and deeper water areas but I think it is now a good time. They love playing in sand too so SAB will be heaven for them. Also a little tired of the CS at Poly and want something new. We love CCs but having the ability to walk into Epcot and eat CS in the world showcase would be a yummy change:goodvibes

I didn't want to be in a vacation do-over from last year--wanted a new experience. If you don't feel going to the Poly again will be a do-over vacation--go for Poly. We did it 2 times in a row before deciding it was time for change. I am quite sure our 2011 or 2012 visit will be back at Poly:wizard:

Good luck!

I'm saying all of this to say would you recommend going with what we know again in the POLY, or trying AKL, BC, BWI, or YC. Please explain why you made the choice you did.

Thanks!!!

I voted for the Polynesian because as much as I want to eventually try some new deluxe resorts, I just can't bring myself to consider any other deluxe, at this point. :scratchin Therefore, I can't really recommend a different resort to someone who obviously loved the Polynesian.

We've stayed at the Grand Floridian, Polynesian, Wilderness Lodge, Animal Kingdom Lodge, Caribbean Beach, and Port Orleans Riverside and had a wonderful experience at each of them, but there's just something very special to us, at the Polynesian (not to mention the convenience of its location and transportation options). :sunny:

I LOVED the BC resort. I have never stayed at the Poly yet though, that will be sometime down the road. I am thinking about that for Oct 2011- for DH and DD birthday trip with my parents In tow for the fun of it. The BC is soooooo close to HS and EPCOT, it is nice to walk out the lobby to you fab parks. I say stay at the resort closest to the parks you favor. Poops can you tell my favorites? I am also contemplating a stay at the new BLT Villas at the contemporary.

I just wanted to say thank you to all the people who have offered their opinions on here. I definitely value all of you Disney experts when it comes time to plan my trips:thumbsup2.

As of right now based on the advice I've received from you all and my own research, my family and I have narrowed it down to the POLY again, and what seems to be another fan favorite, the BC! So please keep the voting and advice coming.

We love the advantage of the monorail and Captain Cooks at the POLY, and we like the idea of the entertainment and nightlife at the BC. Not sure about SAB because it could possibly be too chilly to swim. Also, although I love the magical feel, sounds, smells, and views of the POLY, I'm no longer looking at this as a given advantage because I haven't experienced the BC before. Also if it's true what some people are saying about the possibility of the castle being under refurbishment, this could definitely affect my decision. I just haven't found this information anywhere:confused3. If someone could point me to where this info is listed that would be gr8.

Personally I'd stick with the Poly and here's why:

1) While the AKL is very nice (and it is my second favorite resort next to the Poly), as others have said it only has room for 4 people. The rooms are indeed smaller so family size aside, you would *definitely* notice the difference in room size.

2) Bus service at the BC. The BC is nice and I had considered it because of Stormalong Bay but we spend a lot of time at the MK with the balance at EPCOT. To get to the MK you would have to take a bus from the BC and from what i've seen, you share the outbound route with the BWI and the YC. I personally don't like that many stops so that ruled out the BC for us. Plus I've never been impressed with the quick service eating option there. Not enough seating!

3) All the transportation options at the Poly! You've got the monorail and the boat launch to the MK, monorail to EPCOT and you can walk to the TTC to take the bus to the other parks rather than wait for the Poly bus there. Since you spend so much of your time at the MK anyway (as we do) it would be perfect. :cloud9:

Best of luck with your decision! :goodvibes
