I can't tell from the pics/permits posted if there will be a covered walkway between the new Poly tower and the Ceremonial House at Poly. Do you speculate that the new tower will have its own separate entrance from the main building, i.e. check in, bell services?

It's hard to say for sure, but it looks like it may be a bit far from the Great Ceremonial House if it is, in fact, near the current Spirit of Aloha area. I pictured it being similar to BLT/Contemporary and VGF/Main Lobby -- so having its own check-in and lobby area.

My thoughts: yes, it will have a separate check in and parking lot. And it’s way too far to build a covered walkway to the Ceremonial House.

That's exactly what I was afraid off. If it is raining, we have to trek outside to the Ceremonial House or transportation. Thanks

DVC News has the site plan HERE. It shows the entrance to the building but no covered walkways to any of the Poly resort buildings. That's one of the recurrent complaints about the Poly, both the resort and the DVC buildings - having to run through rain to get to the GCH, monorail and bus stop.

As the article cited notes, the fact that there’s a Porte Cochere in the plans w/ 6 adjacent parking spaces makes it very likely that there’ll be bell services & check in located in the new tower.

One of the nice things about DVC1 is the covered walkway to the main building, even the GF outer buildings don't have a covered walkway. I would imagine it wouldn't be that difficult to add a covered walkway, but none of the other buildings at Polynesian have it either.
