polly pool vs gf pool?

I have two teenage boys, 14 and 16. We will use the pool everyday...in the afternoon and probably eve-night...they love slides, and I can't really tell the difference in the slides from the pictures and have not seen much posted about them.....

Not sure what time of year you are going, but the theme pool (one with the slide) at the GF is not open all the time. It opens up at 10am, but can close anywhere from 6 to 10pm, depending on the season. The courtyard pool, which is open all the time is huge and has a hot tub. I don't really know much about the Volcano pool hours or the secondary pool at the Poly, only that there is no hot tub available there. The GF has 4 cabanas, 3 of them are available for 1/2 or full day rentals. They come with a fridge, stocked with soda, juice and water, tv with dvd player, supposedly wireless connection, table and chairs, plus 2 padded lounge chairs. The 4th cabana has some regular lounge chairs and a table, it's first come first serve.

The overall Poly theme may appeal more to teen boys though.

My kids at the time, DD6 and DS( loved the GF pool by the beach...nice slide and water fall, didnt seem crowded. THe CY pool was also nice! Personally, that volcano pool always look like ite erupting with kids!! lol (J/K>>I mean crowded)

The Poly pools (both the main and quiet) always seemed crowded ( so much so that we couldn't find places to put our towels) every day we used them. Not so at the GF, where we were part of a small group of swimmers.

At night you'd have to use the GF "quiet" pool near Boca Chica...as the main pool is only open in the daylight hours.

The Poly pool's slide is neat....partly in the dark, and very enjoyable. I don't remember the GF's being all that special.

my favorite part of the GF pools is that the quiet pool is open 24/7. we would get back late from a park and unwind by going to teh pool or hot tub. very fun and relaxing, never crowded at night, and its very pretty being surrounded by al the buildings all lit up

Maybe it was the time of year we went, but that's one of the things we didn't like about the GF was the theme pool. I thought it was dirty and very crowded. But again, it was probably the time of year we went (July). I've been to the Poly pool at all different times of year and it has never been so crowded that you couldn't swim..and it has been clean every time we've went.
